Creating a snapshot of the disk and a temporary image

Warning

This method can only be used with small volumes with sizes up to 120 GB.

Note

To reduce the risks of loss of data in the RAM, we recommend that you shut down the instance that is launched from the disk for which you require a clone.

Note

We would point out that for points 1, 2, 4, free space is required in the corresponding disk storage of your project

To obtain a copy of the original disk, perform the following steps:

1. Create a disk snapshot

2. Create a temporary disk from a snapshot

3. Create a disk image

4. Create the whole disk from the image previously created

5. Delete temporary data

To free up disk space in the user project and in the image storage, temporary data should be deleted.

To delete the copy, proceed in the reverse order to that used for creating it:

* Delete disk image

* Delete temporary disk

* Delete disk snapshot
